Stargate Command: The Quest

Thank you for visiting the Stargate Command RPG and Fan forum and website.

The RPGs are private. People may solicit an invitation or the writing partners may recommend a person for invitation. In the future, we may consider adding more teams if we find writers/players that can lead that team and their stories.

If you would like to join the general fan forums, please register following the below guidelines, which are repeated on the Forum Rules page.

Account/Sign-On Names: Do not register using the first or surname of any of the major Canon Stargate Characters, i.e. Dr. Daniel Jackson, Samantha, Carter, O'Neill, etc. These names are reserved for the RPG Writers/Players group. For the RPGs, any do not register using any portion of a Canon Character's name...There should be no Jacks, Daniels, Jacksons, Samanthas, Carters, etc.

Avatars and Sigs: Please do not use standalone images of the Canon Stargate Characters for your avatar or sig. Generic SG related images are welcome, such as team images or images of the characters with text etc. are allowed.

All posts must be written in English.

This page will not allow you to click submit for 30 seconds, you might as well read the rules while you wait.

General Rules

Debates and discussions are fine, however, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. No disputes of any kind will be tolerated on the board. This will get all participants’ memberships immediately and irrevocably revoked. Our decisions are final in these matters.
No character or show bashing! You may state a preference for one of the Stargate television shows and/or movies, or state a preference for a character or characters, you may even post your dissatisfaction with how something was portrayed or how the series was handled by The Powers That Be (TPTB for short). This does not have to be done by denigrating other programs or characters. Please remember that while you may despise Character X, the same character could be another person's favorite. Posting inflammatory material to start arguments and disrupt the forums will get your membership revoked...really fast.
Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts. These posts will be deleted and you will get warned. If it continues, your membership will be revoked.
Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed. It is also not needed as there are no perks for posting more often.
General Advertising, spamming and trolling are not allowed. This includes using the forum, email, visitor messages, blog comments, picture comments and private message systems to spam other members.
We also do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate community standards. The Stargate Command Admin Staff shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
No Swearing or use of foul language in the discussion forums as the forum is accessible by those aged 13-16. You will have to agree to a waiver to access the RPG forums as these stories are intended for mature audiences.
Use the correct forums when posting. If you're going to talk about Stargate SG-1, use the SG-1 Discussions forum. Likewise, if you are going to introduce yourself, use the Intro’s forum.
Use the Edit Button instead of replying to yourself.
Please leave your personal drama or life issues at home. There are better areas on the Net for guidance counseling. Topics like suicide are not allowed: it's too sensitive an issue.
Listen to the moderators or admins when they tell you to stop spamming or when they warn you for any other abuses against the rules. Don’t make them revoke your membership. It makes them power crazy!
Do not pose as a moderator/admin. There is a difference between being helpful to new users and putting yourself forward as a moderator/admin. Users who do not respect this will be warned or banned.
Use Spoiler Tags if you're going to talk about television episodes or movies that have material in them not everyone has seen.
Discussion, uploading or site links to inappropriate material is not allowed and the Stargate SG-1 Admin Staff reserves the right to remove without notification.
Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed and will be banned. The exception is for RPG Writers/Players with multiple characters.
While we are quite happy to have constructive comparative conversations about competitor's products, we will not tolerate blatant adverts or the sort of 'ooh look, yet another bulletin board' threads. Also, we would appreciate it if you refrain from blatant bashing of other boards.
We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently, we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal.
You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests.
We also reserve the right to revoke the membership of anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our support forums are a privilege and not a right.

Advertising Services and Solicitation

Advertising personal sites, LiveJournal, forums, etc., is permitted only within your signature. If the site is adult oriented, you must make that clear as a note along with your sig.
We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any products, services, funds or donations. Explicit advertising and solicitation in signatures is also prohibited.
By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violate any laws.
The owners of Stargate Command RPG forums reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

Staff Disputes

Any disputes with the staff of Stargate Command RPG will be handled in private through the Private Message System.

We reserve the right to update and modify these rules as the needs of the community dictate to ensure the smooth operation of these forums.
